I am very excited to unveil my new 'Aran' Collection, which I have been working on for a number of years. It is a collection of watercolour paintings and drawings of various knitted aran stitches. It all started with a drawing of an Aran jumper, a jumper I love and have worn for years - I am fascinated by the patterns and intricacy of the detail in the work of these beautifully hand crafted woolen creations. There is so much depth in the actual creations, not to mention the rich history and the stories behind the world renowned Aran Jumper. Being from Spiddal, Co. Galway, I can see the Aran Islands every day from my house, it has been a joy to delve into the rich history of these beautiful creations which are synonymous with Irish culture
